This fascinating internship project by Ghent University student Sara Bruggen brings the multifaceted oeuvre of artist Roland Van den Berghe back into the spotlight through meticulous archival research and digitization. By systematically organizing and inventorying letters, sketchbooks, and documentation from various archives, the project successfully maps out the artist's diverse practice spanning from the 1960s to the 1980s. A curated selection, ranging from public happenings to spatial "accidents", has been integrated into a dedicated website to enhance public accessibility. Ultimately, this collaborative initiative safeguards a unique piece of Belgian art history, ensuring that the artist's legacy remains visible and available for future researchers. This project was carried out in collaboration with Centrum Kunstarchieven Vlaanderen (CKV).
